The site’s travel booking platform for availability, prices and bookings

The context

The business behind the brief

GoVacayVIP offers discounted promotional travel. Customers found the deals online, then had to pick up the phone to book them.

Every booking needed a call. Customers who browsed in the evening or did not want to phone simply left, and every booking cost staff time.

The challenge

What the system needed to solve

  • 01

Let customers search, pick and book without leaving the existing site or meeting a different brand.

  • 02

Make the widget read as part of the page, on phones as well as desktop.

  • 03

Keep the booking platform’s credentials on the server, not in the browser.

  • 04

Handle a sold-out deal or an empty search with a clear message instead of a dead end.

The solution

From requirements to working software

Delivered functionality and implementation boundaries.

01

A widget inside the existing site

The booking widget sits inside the site’s own pages, so the site did not have to be rebuilt. Customers search, choose and book in the site’s own look, with no redirect to another brand.

02

A small server layer

The widget calls the site’s travel booking platform through a small server layer for availability, prices and bookings. Booking credentials stay on the server.

03

Styled to match

The widget is styled to the existing site and works on phones as well as desktop, so it reads as part of the page rather than an add-on.

BeforeCustomers browse the deals, then have to call to book.
AfterCustomers book online, any time, without speaking to anyone.

Core functionality

What the product lets people do

  • Search and booking inside the existing site, no redirect to another brand
  • Styled to match the site
  • Works on phones as well as desktop
  • Clear messages when a deal has sold out or a search finds nothing

Technical implementation

Architecture and system boundaries

The widget runs inside the existing site’s pages and calls the site’s travel booking platform through a small server layer, so booking credentials stay on the server. The site itself was not rebuilt.

Let’s talk about the system you need.

Tell us where the current process breaks down. We can map the workflow, examine the integration requirements and define a practical scope for the build.

  • A mutual NDA is signed before project details are shared.
  • Scope is fixed in writing before any build starts.
  • You own the source code, the IP and the documentation at delivery.
  • Support plans are available and tailored on a discovery or technical call.
